Cross-chain swaps carry risks that no interface can remove. Read this before you sign.
Price movement
Quotes reflect market conditions at the time of request. Between quote and execution the price can move. Your maximum slippage and minimum-received settings bound this risk: transactions that cannot meet the minimum revert or trigger a provider refund. Lower slippage means more reverts; higher slippage means more exposure to price movement and front-running.
Price impact
Large trades relative to available liquidity move the price against you. ABHSwap displays estimated price impact and warns above 1% and 5%, but the figure is an estimate. Consider splitting large orders.
Bridge and protocol risk
Cross-chain routes depend on bridges and DEXs operated by third parties. These systems can be paused, exploited, or fail to relay. A bridge failure can leave funds delayed on the source chain until the provider processes a refund. ABHSwap surfaces refund transactions when they occur but cannot accelerate or guarantee them.
Timing
Estimated times are based on recent provider performance and chain finality. Bitcoin and some bridges can take significantly longer under congestion. A swap shown as “Bridging” has left your source wallet and is in the provider’s custody until delivery or refund.
Partial fills
Some routes may fill partially when liquidity thins mid-execution. In that case the filled portion is delivered and the unfilled source amount is returned to your source address by the provider. The tracking page shows both amounts.
Token risk
Tokens marked unverified are not matched against provider registries. They may be counterfeit, illiquid, have transfer taxes, or be non-transferable. Verify contract addresses independently before swapping such tokens.
Wallet and signing risk
ABHSwap never sees your keys, but a compromised wallet, malicious browser extension, or phishing page can. Always confirm the domain, the destination address, and the transaction details displayed by your wallet — not just by the ABHSwap interface — before signing.
Approvals
ERC-20 and TRC-20 swaps require a token approval. ABHSwap requests approvals for the exact amount being swapped, not unlimited allowances. On Stellar, a one-time asset authorization is required. Review and revoke approvals from your wallet at any time.
